1) remove factory tow hooks and brackets if so equipped. If you have no body lift an a plastic air dam, cut a 2-1/2" x 2-1/2" square in the center of the air dam. Body lifted vehicles need not pay attention to cutting the air dam.

2) Take out the front 2 bumper bracket bolts on each side of the frame that are attached to the bumper. Leave the rear bolt tight to hold the bumper and keep it aligned.

Note 1: This is what the stock front bolts look like pretty neat design because you can just loosen the nut on the other side without holding the bolt from turning.

Note 2:I had to burn off the one side of my stock bolts because the bar that held them together broke

3) Install upper front bolts (furnished with kit) connecting factory bumper bracket to frame and tighten securely. Now with this tightened remove rear bumper bracket bolts. The upper front bolts will hold the bumper in place.

4) Now you are ready for the actual install of the front hitch itself. Install the receiver using the 2 lower factory bumper bracket locations and the large slot to the rear using the bolts provided. Use the flat washers wherever the bolt or nut seats against the hole for the hitch. After the 2 lower bolts are installed use the nut with the wire handle inserting it through the square hole in the outside of the frame. Visibly line up the nut with end of the far most rear upper bolt by viewing thru the slot on the inside of the frame.
